The x-rays were discovered by the German physicist Wilhelm Rontgen in 1895. The X-rays were discovered accidentally when Rontgen studied the cathode rays in a high voltage gaseous discharge tube.
The x-rays from its beginning were used to take skeletal X-rays, for example the first X-ray that was taken was made by Rontgen to his wife, who took her hand
